American´s heart problems continue to delay comeback

Former top 10 player Mardy Fish has further delayed his comeback to the game after pulling out of next month's SAP Open ATP event in San Jose. The reason cited for hsi withdrawal is ongoing heart issues.

Fish has not played since pulling out of the US Open in September. The American had a procedure to correct an irregular heartbeat last year and has been troubled by the same since. While his heart problem is likely to have been fixed, the American is reportedly suffering from anxiety about the problems returning espcially given the high pressure nature of the sport.

It has been reported though that Fish has been practicing with the American Davis Cup team this week in Florida. The Americans take on Brazil in the first round of the World Group this weekend.

It is not clear when Fish will return to the tour as of now.
