During the training in Manacor, Rafael Nadal declares how the recover from the injury is harder than he expected

Rafael Nadal, after the extraordinary victory at Indian Wells and the forfeit of Miami, it’s following his preparation to the clay season at Manacor, where he has born and grown up. At the end of some training session, the Spanish champion declared to have felt some unexpected pains at the knee:” After a hard training session and a treatment, I noticed how the knee was hurting more than the predicted. Even if I feel much better in these days, the knee is going definitely better.”

The Spanish as always decided to be very careful, for this he doesn’t assure his presence at Roland Garros:”In these seven months of inactivity I adapted to negative things. The injury is still present and I have to work on it day by day, but I’m happy that it’s positively answering. Now Montecarlo and Barcelona are waiting for me. We’ll see later on”. ( Madrid, Rome and obviously Roland Garros, ndr).

One of the goals that Nadal might reache, would be the ninth victory in a row in Monaco Princedom, tournament in which the adversary really don’t seem to be able to beat him:” Winning again in Montecarlo? You can’t always win. I already conquered Acapulco, San Paolo and Indian Wells. I have to admit though, that the sensation at San Paolo were very bad. I won, but I didn’t trust of my knee, I improved a lot, especially in the speed and in the legs reactivity”, explains the number 5 of the world.
