Rising American youngster Jack Sock has won his first career ATP Challenger title.
Sock scored a 6-1, 1-6, 7-6 (3) victory over Mischa Zverev in the finals of the $100,000 USTA Challenger in Tiburon, California.
“Big step in the right direction. With those (ranking) points, winning a Challenger is a big deal,” Sock commented. Sock will climb to a career best no. 165 in the world rankings following his won.
Sock has three more challengers lined up in his schedule for this year and and is hoping to close in on the top 100.
