The organizers of the China Open of Beijing confirmed the presence of Rafael Nadal ion their event later this year. The Spaniard has been absent from the Asian tournament for the last four years.
For the Asian supporters there will be then the chance to admire their hero in the week at the end of September and the end of October (30/09 – 06/10), as Nadal will also play in Tokyo.
Tournament director Alfred Zhang said “Nadal is a global superstar, and we are grateful to host him on our courts after the victory of 2005.”
“I’m happy to be back in Beijing. I had very good opinions about the Diamond Court, I wish I could play there this year, I wait for all my fans in China,” Nadal said.
Nadal has also confirmed his availability for the Davis Cup tie against the Ukraine of mid September.
