World no. 5 David Ferrer has won the Skistar Swedish Open. Ferrer was in ruthless form beating countryman NIcolas Almagro 6-2, 6-2.
The match lasted only 68 minutes and is Ferrer's second title in Bastad. It is also his fifth title of the year and his 51st win on tour this year - the highest by any ATP pro on the men's tour this year.
This was Ferrer's 11th consecutive win over Almagro on the ATP tour.
This was Ferrer's 16th career title and he won €64,700 in prize money and 250 ranking points.
Almagro is now 12-6 in ATP finals and 43-14 for the year on the tour.
