World no. 1 Novak Djokovic will return to the circuit later this month at the ATP Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.
Djokovic is a three time champion in Dubai and told Sport360 that he was looking forward to another good week in Dubai this year.
“Dubai is always a great tournament. A lot of the players have the same opinion as me. We feel very comfortable in this tournament. The site is great and the weather of course is fantastic and the organisers make us feel really good. I really look forward to coming back. You always have very good and intensive matches here and the attendance is great.”
The event begins on February 25th and is preceded by the women's WTA event in Dubai.
Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice-Chairman of Dubai Duty Free, commented, "He has shown over and over again in the marathon matches he has played at the Grand Slams that he is a fighter of the highest quality, and we can expect him to give everything he has to justify his number one seeding as he attempts to re-take his title."
Roger Federer will also be in Dubai this year but Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray will not.
How to play from the baseline
The expression “to endure the rally” is about those indeterminate moments of a rally where none of the players is leading.
The ability to endure the rally is fundamental when you play a “long rally”, because it offers you the chance to measure your opponent’s strong points and vulnerabilities, besides letting you position as best as possible for your next offensive shot.
