Top seed and world no. 8 Janko Tipsarevic beat Czech Jan Hernych and moved into the semi finals of the Crédit Agricole Suisse Open Gstaad on Friday.

Tipsarevic won 6-2, 6-1 in 62 minutes and is now two matches away from his second title in as many weeks.

The Serb will meet France’s Paul-Henri Mathieu for a place in the finals.

Mathieu has reached his first ATP semi-final in nearly three years by beating Latvian Ernests Gulbis 4-6, 6-1, 6-4. The Frenchman, currently ranked no. 172 in the world, has been as high as no. 12 in the rankings.

Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov beat Poland’s Lukasz Kubot 6-3, 6-2 to reach his third career ATP semi final - all three of them have come since June.

Dimitrov will meet Brazil’s Thomaz Bellucci, who upset fifth seed Feliciano Lopez 6-3, 6-3.
