Tomas Berdych has beaten Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the finals of the ATP If Stockholm Open on Sunday. The win boosts Berdych's chances to qualify for the ATP World Tour Finals in London next month.

Berdych beat Tsonga 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 in a two and a half hour battle.

"London is always a goal every season," commented Berdych. "You have to play well the whole year to qualify. It will be special for me, if I make it for the third year in a row. I then hope to do well for Czech Republic in the Davis Cup final at home."

"I feel bad, because it was a good final and a close score," commented Tsonga. "I think we played a great match and had many opportunities, but he played well. I tried to play my best tennis today. Of course, I am trying to qualify for London, I am not there yet and I need to earn more points."
