American veterans and good friends James Blake and Andy Roddick will clash in the second round of the ATP Winston-Salem Open.
Blake beat Albert Ramos 6-4, 6-3 on Sunday to set up a second round showdown with Roddick, who injured his back last week in Cincinnati.
Roddick has won 8 of their 11 match ups on tour.
After losing in the first round of his first six events in 2012, former World No. 4 Blake has now reached the second round in four of his last five tournaments.
American youngster Ryan Harrison scored a 6-3, 7-5 win over Japan's Go Soeda for his first win in his last five matches on tour.
Steve Darcis beat fellow Belgian Xavier Malisse 6-3, 6-0 while David Goffin, beat Nicolas Mahut 7-6(3), 6-1.
