Spain's David Marrero and Fernando Verdasco beat Rogerio Dutra Silva and Daniel Munoz-De La Nava 6-4, 6-3 in the final of the German Tennis Open in Hamburg to win their fourth title of the year.
Marrero and Verdasco broke serve five times for the win. The match lasted 74 minutes.
"I'm very happy, of course," commented Verdasco. "It's our second [ATP World Tour] 500 title of the year and it will help us to be close to the Top 8 for the chance to be in London at the end of the year. It's a very important victory for us."
"I'm so happy for this week, last week, for the year," commented Marrero. "It's a pleasure to play with Fernando, who plays unbelievable singles and unbelievable doubles. I hope that we can continue like this and can play the Masters in London this year."
