Ana Ivanovic eases into quarterfinals of Monterry Open

Second seed Ana Ivanovic played displayed sensational piece of tennis to oust Canadian qualifier Aleksandra Wozniak, 6-4, 6-2, and cruise into the quarterfinals of the Monterrey Open in Mexico.

Besides, sixth-seeded Magdalena Rybarikova of Slovakia also booked herself a spot in the last-eight stage, after beating Japan's Ayumi Morita 6-4, 0-0 retired, in the second round.

In the other matches, eighth seed Monica Puig made short work of Nicole Gibbs, 6-4, 6-2; while American qualifier continued her dream run by beating compatriot Allie Kiick, 2-6, 6-2, 6-1, to reach the quarterfinals.
