Andy Murray and girlfriend looking to adopt

Andy Murray is looking for a new pet along with his girlfriend Kim Sears.

Murray ­visited Battersea Dogs Home earlier this week

Murray and Sears already own two dogs. They spent more than an hour meeting staff at the ­centre, looking at the stray ­animals.

A spokeswoman for the home said: “It was a private visit. Andy and Kim came in a purely personal capacity, and we cannot say any more.”

The couple currently own Border ­terriers, Maggie May and Rusty.

Murray, ranked no. 4 in the world, lost a heartbreaking final at Wimbledon last Sunday, to new world no. 1 Roger Federer
