Tennis: Argentina's Carlos Berlocq set up a final with top seed Tomas Berdych of Czech Republic by beating Daniel Gimeno-Traver of Spain in straight sets at Portugal Open in Oeiras.

World no.98 Gimeno-Traver had come into the tournament as a qualifier and was vying to reach his first ATP tournament final.

The Argentinian and Spaniard had met 5 times before, and all of those meetings were on clay court. Four of them had gone to Berlocq and one to Gimeno-Traver.

First set went very close, as both players broke eachother once. The set went to a tie-break, which Berlocq won 8-6 to take one set lead.

The second set was one-sided, as Berlocq saved both the break points that he faced and broke his opponent twice to take the second set 6-2. He needed 1 hour and 33 minutes to outdo Gimeno-Traver and book his place in the final.

Berlocq will face top seed and world no.6 Tomas Berdych in the final, who defeated Victor Hanescu of Romania 6-2, 6-2 in another one-sided match.

Berdych and Berlocq have met 3 times before, and all of those meetings have gone Czech player's way. Last two meetings between them were on clay court too.

Berlocq will be playing in his 3rd ATP final and will be vying for his 2nd ATP title, after winning Bastad last year.
