Davis Cup - Del Potro to meet Stepanek in the opening rubber of semi final

2009 U.S. Open champion Juan Martin del Potro will take on veteran Radek Stepanek in the opening match of the Davis Cup semifinal between Argentina and the Czech Republic, which kicks off tomorrow.

Argentina's Juan Monaco will take on world no. 6 Tomas Berdych in the second match.

The tie is beng played on clay in Parque Roca.

In Saturday's doubes, Argentine duo Carlos Berlocq and Eduardo Schwank will take on Czechs Ivo Minar and Lukas Rosol. The reverse singles are scheduled on Sunday.

Argentina lost last year's Davis Cup final against Spain.

del Potro has been advised to rest his injured left wrist by his doctors but he has decided to go against his doctors wishes and play the tie and rest his wrirst after the tie.
