World number three Rafael Nadal is the most known and best valued person in Spain according to a survey by a marketing company called Personality Media.

This company conducts this study after every six months in order to identify the most suitable personalities for commercial ad purposes. More than 40,000 Spaniards were asked about 1900 personalities during this study.

At the end of the survey the top 10 ranking of personalities came out as follows. Tennis star Rafael Nadal, NBA Lakers forward Pau Gasol, FC Barcelona midfielder Andrés Iniesta, actor Paco León, retired cyclist Miguel Induráin, FC Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernández, football coach Pep Guardiola, football coach Vicente del Bosque, Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas and sports journalist Matías Prats.

Nadal has won a total of 11 Grand Slams and is at the fourth position in the all-time title leader list. The Spaniard, who is known as the King of Clay, won his record seventh French Open title in June.

However, the 25-year-old faced a shocking defeat at this year’s Wimbledon as he was stunned by world number 100 Lukas Rosol in the second round.

Nadal is currently enjoying holidays and rehabilitating his inured knees. He will defend his Gold Medal at the London Olympics after three weeks.

He had pulled out from an exhibition match at the Real Madrid’s stadium in order to rest his knees. Talking to the reporters at that moment, the Spaniard had said, "I was with my doctors on Monday and started already my treatment with the goal to be ready for the London Olympic Games and represent Spain once again."

He added, "I will now work on my rehab as well as taking some short holidays to resume my practice in 15 days."
