Getting to the top of the world rankings for Novak Djokovic has not been easy. Through hard training and the war in his country, he has grown up to become the champion of today. In a great interview in Serbia, the player explained that the dream of a child at number one in tennis.

"To become number one in the world is an immense satisfaction. You can live your life knowing that you have reached the biggest milestone in your life. I live the dream that I've had since I was a child of four years old. It was a greater satisfaction to reach this goal in an era dominated by two great champions like Federer and Nadal. No one thought it would be possible, I achieved the impossible. The hardest thing was to get rid of the immense respect that I had for them in the field. One day I realized I had to think differently, as a professional if I wanted to reach the top. "

"If you want to reach the top you have to change everything, so at some point in my career, with my team, with a coach, physiotherapist, nutritionist and fitness coach it happened. I trained hard but mostly I stepped up my concentration. I completely changed my eating habits. Thanks to a gluten-free diet I have become more physically stable. "

"I have also limited the comedic role I had. Everything had become a little 'forced.’ In every tournament there was someone asking me to do imitations. I thought it was time to stop. Do not worry; I am still the same guy as before. I am still crazy and I have fun with my friends or I have no trouble running a commercial comic, but the joke does not harm others.”
