Interviewed in a Serbian talk show, Novak Djokovic had an occasion to talk more about his past experiences as a tennis player, and how few years ago he felt almost ready to give up his career of being World No.1 and winning Wimbledon one day.

"With tennis it was love at first sight, since I was 4 years old. I always enjoyed a lot of support from my family, my club and the government, but in 2010 my relationship with this sport was of both hate and love. I was losing a lot when facing Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal and I seriously thought about retiring. Then I told myself that I had to survive these feelings and I had to win Wimbledon, which has always been the main goal of my whole life" revealed Djokovic.

"I was happy for Wawrinka"s success in Australia, because he managed to play better when it mattered the most. To win in Melbourne is always special, because is the first tournament of the year and the motivations are stronger" continued the Serb.

Finally, Novak talked about his relationship with the rest of the Fab Four group, which the media tried to fill in with gossip and hatred: "I am friends with Roger Federer, who also came to Novi Sad. My relationship with him, and with Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray is great. We also have to consider the effect we have as role models for young people who follow us and tennis in general".

Djokovic also talked about the recent controversy regarding Novak and his dad who helped drivers trapped in the snow last week, distributing chains: "Me and my dad went to help people who were trapped after it snowed for 20 consecutive hours. It was something meant to be personal, we didn"t want to interfere with the work that was been done by the army and the other volunteers".
