Serbian star Novak Djokovic’s almost all wishes came true but the one which is still just a wish is his desire to study in a university.
The current world number two turned pro when he was just 16 years old. Djokovic realized two of his biggest dreams by winning last year’s Wimbledon as he also became world number one with that.
Tennis is an extremely tough sport and professional players find it almost impossible to complete their studies regularly. Some of them go for distance learning and study online courses but that can never come close to the university life.
The five times Grand Slam champion said in a recent interview, “I didn’t go to school every day. The high school, I had to come back and do the exams two, three times a year. That was the case.”
He added, “I never went to university. Well, if I can say, that’s one wish that I have in life, one regret, that I would like to go in some university, because I really like the idea of educating yourself and being a part of a group of students. It’s a fun period in one person’s life.”
