The Spaniard made quick business of winning the opening set 6-2. He served well while his movement was undoubtedly convincing. Wawrinka broke the Ferrer serve in the 7th game of the second set. He consolidated the break of serve to lead 5-3. Wawrinka went on to save a break point in the 10th game to take the second set 6-4. Set 2 stats: First serve points won: Wawrinka 78%; Ferrer 75%.
