King of Clay Rafael Nadal has praised Andy Murray, saying that the British number one has everything in his game which is required to be one of the best players in the world.

The Spaniard said that everyone including him believed that Murray would become a Grand Slam champion one day.

In a recent interview, Nadal stated, "I think everybody knew he would win a grand slam, he's worked hard and has been pushing hard for many years at the top and he has achieved a reward for that."

He added, "Andy's a very complete player all round. It's hard for me to speak about any specific area of his game which is particularly hard to face. He basically has it all, a great serve, backhand, forehand, he's fast, and he's a fantastic player all round.”

Nadal went on to say that Murray has found consistency in his game recently, which comes with time only.

He said, "In recent years he's become a bit more consistent which is something you find with time, and he's one of the best in the world."

Murray, who is featuring at the Japan Open in this week, defeated Novak Djokovic in the US Open final to break his Grand Slam duck.
