World number four Rafael Nadal is trying his best to regain match fitness as early as possible and get back on the ATP World Tour. He is working out intensively in gym these days, doing different exercises to bring back his body in perfect condition.

The Spaniard uploaded a picture on his facebook page, in which he can be seen laying back at a bed. It looks like the ever smiling Rafa was in the middle of his exercises but he stopped to pose for the picture.

Nadal wrote this caption under the photo, “Working out with my physio at the gym.”

The 11-time Grand Slam champion is battling with his knee injury for the last three months now. The Spanish star has not featured at any ATP event since losing to a low ranked player from Czech Republic Lukas Rosol in the second round of Wimbledon Championships.

This injury lay off has hurt him badly as he has gone down to fourth position in the world rankings from number two. If things do not get better for Nadal and he misses rest of the season, he could go down to fifth spot and get replaced by David Ferrer as the highest ranked tennis player of Spain.

The 26-year-old has missed two of the five biggest events of this season i.e. London Olympics and US Open.

Nadal also missed the Davis Cup semi-final against USA but he is expected to make a comeback in time for ATP World Tour Finals and Davis Cup final in November.
