Roger Federer has not had the best preparation coming into the Australian Open. He was sick in Brisbane and it influenced him for the whole week. But now almost everything seems to be behind him.
'Cough's gone. The cold's 90% gone
- he assured - 'I'm happy. The last of couple days I've been able to practice normally. I'm relieved that since Thursday now I'm better.'
Of course he spoke about Novak Djokovic
as well and the concept of Fab Four
. Do the Big Four still exist, despite the Serb dominating? Djokovic won six Masters 1000 titles last season and three Grand Slams (Australian Open, Wimbledon, US Open).
According to Roger, Nole is at another level right now. He said, 'It completely depends on what you're looking at. If you're looking at his season, he was the most dominant player by far last year. Then if you look at just who won the slams and the Masters 1000s, (it) doesn't hold truth, because Stan won the French. Nobody else won a slam other than him and Novak. But, of course, Novak deserves like a little star next to his name right now because he's been doing extremely well. Same for Stan really. Hasn't been said, he's won slams the last couple seasons and he's going into a third season where he's maybe going to win a Grand Slam.'
Last year in Melbourne, Roger lost to Andreas Seppi in the third round. He's won four titles here: in 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2010. Last time he reached the final was in 2010 against Andy Murray.
Rafael Nadal: ´Courts are a little bit faster. Djokovic? It´ll be decisive not having injuries´
Do you have tics when you play?
