Indian ace Sania Mirza announced that she will continue to partner Romanian Horia Tecau for the Australian Open 2014, in mixed doubles category.

After playing alongside each other at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open 2013, Mirza and Tecau will look to make mark and start their season on a high in Melbourne.

"We had committed to play three tournaments, so we are playing the Australian Open together," Mirza told PTI. "He plays backhand side and has a very big serve. He is one of the best doubles player in the world. He volleys very well and has a very good return.

"In one of the Australian Opens we had lost to them in the semifinals, I think two years ago in 2012. Right now, we are only committed to play in Australian Open, I cannot comment about other tournaments.

"We enter every tournament to win. We have to try and take one match at a time but obviously we have to try and win the tournament."

Mirza is currently ranked number 9 in the women's doubles rankings, while Tecau is placed at the 23rd spot in men's doubles rankings.
