Serena Williams could possibly skip the mixed doubles event at the London Olympic Games later this month since she wants to focus on the singles and doubles event.

The Games will be held at Wimbledon, which Serena won last week. Serena has never won a singles gold medal although she has won in doubles with sister Venus.

The two, who also won the Wimbledon doubles title last week, are entered in the womens doubles event in the Olympics.

If Serena chose to play in the mixed also, she would possibly need to play 15 matches in 9 days.

Serena had earlier indicated that she could play with Andy Roddick in the mixed although the Bryan brothers and John Isner had also indicated interest in partnering with her..

"I definitely want to play singles and I really want to play doubles so I don’t know how three would work," Williams said. "That could definitely be the answer to my problems so we’ll see."

Serena is currently playing in Stanford where she has reached the finals.
