A few days ago, following Rafael Nadal’s withdrawal from the Olympic Games, Toni Nadal let go of some alarming statements saying that 'it was a lot of disappointment for Rafa because these were the last Olympics'. Well a few hours later, the coach of the Mallorcan player corrected his original thoughts:
"In times of disappointment and sadness we say so many things, you often see everything as all black but now the situation has changed. Rafa will be at the next Olympic Games and will try to reach it in good physical condition. "
The date of return to competition, originally set for the U.S. Open, could undergo a change. Toni has admitted:
"The return could be as early as the tournament in Cincinnati."
Good news for all of his fans and fans of tennis should he return then to admire the exploits of the Spanish champion ahead of schedule.
