Serena Williams has two goals at this year's US Open. One is to win the title and the second is to not lose her cool.
In her last two appearances at the US Open, Williams threatened a linesperson after being called for a foot fault in the 2009 semi finals against Kim Clijsters, and then argued with chair umpire Eva Asderaki over a hindrance call, calling her 'not a very nice person inside' in the 2011 final against Sam Stosur.
"If someone makes me really angry I might have to get into a little bit of an argument, but my goal is to try to stay calm if I can," Serena told reporters in Stanford where she won her 43rd career title on Sunday. "If not I’m going out with a bang as I did the past two years."
