WTA Beijing - Li Na upsets Radwanska to reach semi finals

Former French Open champion Li Na upset world no. 3 in front of a boisterous home crowd to advance to the semi finals of the WTA China Open in Beijing. The win also ensured Li Na will finish no. 8 in the race to Istanbul for the WTA Tour Championships.

Li beat Radwanska for the third consecutive time - the score being 64 62.

"I'm very satisfied with my performance here this year," Li commented. "After last year, when I didn't play really well here and lost early, me and my team went back and made some adjustements and I'm playing at a high level this time."

"If I didn't qualify, Beijing would have been my last tournament of the year, so this is good news for me. It's a very big reward."

Li Na will meet Maria Sharapova on Saturday for a place in the finals
