WTA Guangzhou - Cirstea and Radwanska reach the semi finals

Romania's Sorana Cirstea and Poland's Urszula Radwanska continued their stellar seasons by reaching the semi finals of the WTA Guangzhou Open on Thursday.

Third seeded Cirstea beat former world no. 11 Alize Cornet 6-4, 6-3 while Radwanska beat the defending champion Chanellle Scheepers 6-1, 7-5. This was Radwanska's 42nd win on the tour this year and she has climbed from outside the top 100 to inside the top 40 this year.

Also advancing into the last four was Taipei's Hseih Su-Wei who beat Frenchwoman Mathilde Johansson 6-3, 6-0
