WTA Miami - Bethanie Mattek-Sands leads seven Americans into second round of qualifying

Tennis - Seven Americans moved into the second round of qualifying for the Sony Open Tennis in Miami on Monday.

Those moving into the second and final round included teenager Lauren Davis, former world no. 30 Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Alexa Glatch, Coco Vandeweghe, Vania King and Mallory Burdette.

However Americans Melanie Oudin, Maria Sanchez and Julia Cohen were beaten in the first round though.

Also advancing were former world no. 11 Shahar Peer, the Pliskova twins, Kazakh teen Yulia Putintseva and 16 year old Croatian Donna Vekic.
