15 year old Canadian Françoise Abanda upset world no.104 Irina Falconi of the US 6-4, 6-0 to move into the final round of qualifying for the main draw of the WTA Rogers Cup in Montreal.

Some matches had to suspended ot postponed to MOnday due to the rain which means some players will need to play 2 matches on Monday

Other winners on Sunday included Czech Iveta Benesova, Poland's Urszula Radwanska, Mirjana Lucic, Aravane Rezai, Michelle Larcher de Brito and Sesil Karantancheva.
