Less than a week before the start of the U.S. Open is, as always a time of predictions. Two former Grand Slam champions, Goran Ivanisevic and Mats Wilander, both are inclined toward thinking there it will be Andy Murray who triumphs.

These are the words of the Croatian:

"The surface on which you play the U.S. Open is where Murray can implement his best tennis. I think it will be a repeat of the Olympic feat. The Games have only just passed and it has certainly brought him confidence and motivation."

Wilander is very similar in his thinking on who the champion may be:

"The Scot will win in the final against Federer or Djokovic."

Recall that Murray is No. 4 in the rankings and he is still looking for his first Grand Slam. Will this be the right time?
