Juan Martin Del Potro flew past Kei Nishikori at Wimbledon on Saturday, beating the Japanese start 6-3, 7-6(3), 6-1 in routine fashion.

The former US Open champion has never been a major fan of grass courts, but has been looking good so far this year. With Nadal out, he is considered by many to be the favorite to reach the final on his side of the draw.

“I think this was my best match this week,”del Potro reflected afterwards. “I played really aggressive, trying to hit the ball really hard, and I took all my break points. That's important to have the control of the match. I think I played a very good match today and I have an opportunity to play the fourth round again.”

He will next face David Ferrer, who beat Andy Roddick to advance to the fourth round.
