Thomaz Bellucci wasn't expected to put up much of a fight against Novak Djokovic, but fight he did. The Brazilian lefty came to play in the opening set, going toe to toe with Djokovic from the baseline and outsmarting him on many occasions.

Bellucci forced Djokovic into playing defensively for a set and a half as the Brazilian got up a set and a break. After that, Djokovic kept fighting and getting that one extra ball back. Bellucci mentally couldn't keep it together in that second set, and a slight ankle injury didn't help.

After Djokovic took the 2nd, Bellucci was gassed both physically and mentally and Djokovic ran away with the thir 6-1. In this match we saw some awesome play from Bellucci mixed in with some scratchy play. If Bellucci can get his act together physically and work on his endurance, he can play with anyone, as evidenced this week.

Novak Djokovic now will put his 33 match win streak on the line vs. Rafael Nadal's 37 match clay win streak in Sunday's final. .
