Chad Camper, women's tennis head coach at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, has announced that Annie Tarwater joins the Mocs squad. Tarwater spent the last 3 semesters playing at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, where she was 13-5 in doubles and 2-10 in singles in her freshman season. Annie is from Texarkana, Texas, and she was a three-star recruit according to Tennis Recruiting Network (she is a 2015 graduate of Texas High School). Due to NCAA transfer rules, she will not be able to play for the Mocs this spring but it will be allowed to her to train with the team. The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga will open their season on January 16 against Austin Peay at the Strang-Voges Tennis Center on McCallie's campus.
"We are excited to add Annie to the roster this semester. As a transfer, she will have to sit out the spring, but she will be a big help in practice. This will also give her an opportunity to work on her game and be ready to contribute in competition next season."
