Caroline Garcia Confesses 'This Has Been the Worst Moment of my Career'- View: 4260 by Prakash
Tennis - Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia says that the reaction to her withdrawal from the Fed Cup team for France later this month was the worst moment of her career. Garcia posted a message on Twitter earlier this week to announce that she would be taking a month off to treat an injury and will be back at the WTA event in Rabat.
Her statement evoked an LOL reaction from her Fed Cup countrywomen Pauline Parmentier, Alixe Cornet and Kristina Mladenovic, her former doubles partner. In an interview with L'Equipe, Garcia commented, "This is the worst moment of my career and it has been going on since February.
[...] I feel they think my wound is wrong. They have the right to think, but I feel that there is no more confidence and it is hard to imagine when I think back to the Fed Cup final of Strasbourg. Speaking about the break-up between her and doubles partner Kristina Mladenovic, with whom she won the French Open in 2016, Garcia says she was hurt by comments that Mladenovic made that "the adventure is more beautiful with real people, those with values, those who are ready to die in the field and not to be Selfish " Garica says, "It was a tougher time than people can imagine.
I was in Doha, I saw that with a distant eye and it can be hurtful." Also Read - Caroline Garcia Withdraws from WTA Stuttgart .
