Tennis - 35 year old American Micheal Russell wins ATP Challenger title in Charlottesville

Tennis - Russell becomes third highest ranked American in the world

Tennis - 35 year old American veteran Michael Russell has won the ATP Challenger title in Charlottesville this weekend, making an incredible comeback in the final set against Canadian Peter Polansky.

Russell was down 0-5 in the final set but fought back to take it into a tie breaker. Once there, Polansky once again built a big lead - 5-2 in the tie breaker. But Russell fought back again to win the last five points in a row and complete an incredible win.

The win will also see climb into the top 80 in the rankings and he will now become the third highest ranked American in the world.

In the doubles final, Steve Johnson and Tim Symczek defeated Donald Young and Jarmere Jenkins 6-4, 6-3 to win the title.
