Tennis - Golmard peaked at no.22 in the rankings and played for France in the Davis Cup

Tennis - Former French tennis player Jerome Golmard has been diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease in January.

The former French Davis Cupper and world no. 22 has lost the use of both of his legs. He is currently in a wheel chair. Golmard identified the source of the disease and the first symptoms which started shortly after undergoing 3 teeth removal in September 2013. This dental surgery triggered the disease and made him start to experience issues affecting the use of his left leg.

Some of his friends have now come together to raise funds for costs associated with his treatment. The goal is to raise $300,000.
