World number one men’s tennis player Roger Federer will be seeded first in the men’s singles draw at the tennis event of London Olympics. He will be followed by second ranked Serbian Novak Djokovic and Britain’s Andy Murray, who is ranked third in the world.

Sadly for the tennis followers, world number three and last time’s champion Rafael Nadal of Spain is going to miss London Games with a knee injury.

Federer will be aiming to win the only title that he has failed to win so far in his amazing career. The Swiss Maestro tasted Olympics in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, when he won the men’s doubles event with his friend Stanislas Wawrinka but this time he will try to do the same in the singles category.

Djokovic, who won the bronze medal four years back, will by trying to go two steps ahead this time and add an Olympics Gold to his five Grand Slam trophies.

On the other hand, Andy Murray would be hoping to forget the Wimbledon loss by winning the Olympics crown in own backyard. Murray lost his fourth straight Grand Slam final, when he went down against Federer in the Wimbledon final almost three weeks back at the same venue.

On the women’s side, Victoria Azarenka, Agnieszka Radwanska, Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams will be seeded first, second, third and fourth respectively.
