Tennis - World no. 8 Stanislas Wawrinka will meet Frenchman Edouard Roger-Vasselin in the finals of the Aircel Chennai Open on Sunday. Wawrinka reached the finals when Canadian Vasek Pospisil retired down 4-6, 5-5 due to a back injury.
Meanwhile, Vasselin advanced after a 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 win over sixth seed Marcel Granollers of Spain. Speaking after his win, Wawrinka commented, "It’s feels good for sure, reaching my first final [of the year].
I am really happy to be in final. It was a tough match. I tried to stay focused. I didn’t serve well, but I was aggressive from baseline and I felt that I was moving well." Sunday's meeting will be the third clash between the two players, with both players having won one match each.
