ATP 500 Halle event's field gets bigger. The German event, that will take place from 18 to 24 June 2018, confirmed through its official Facebook page that Alexander Zverev will make his fourth consecutive appearance there, joining Roger Federer, Kei Nishikori and Dominic Thiem.
The World No. 4 reached 2016 and 2017 losing respectively to his compatriot Florian Mayer and Swiss Roger Federer. In 2015 he lost to the Croatian Ivo Karlovic in the second round. Zverev had an amazing season this year, winning five ATP titles: Montpellier, Munich, Rome, Washington and Montreal, becoming the youngest player since 20-year-old Juan Martin del Potro to win four or more titles in the same season.
Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray are already committed to play Queen's event, which is played in the same week as Halle. In the last years, the British event managed to bring in more top players, including Stan Wawrinka, Grigor Dimitrov and Marin Cilic, who are yet to confirm their appearances.
