Milos Raonic shuts down his season. The Canadian player withdrew from Vienna and Paris Bercy events due to a strain to his calf suffered in Tokyo a few weeks ago. It was a very complicated 2017 season for Raonic, who after Wimbledon played just five matches.
After Monreal, he took a seven-week break due to a left wrist injury, then he came back to compete at Japan Open where after winning a match he retired down 1-0 in the first set to Adrian Mannarino. Raonic is the six top 30 player to call it a season after Djokovic, Wawrinka, Nishikori, Murray, Muller.
Raonic had ended 2016 as World No. 3 after reaching Paris and London semifinals, but following a bad 2017, where he achieved his best results at the Australian Open and Wimbledon reaching quarters, won Istanbul title and reached Delray Beach final, that he didn't play due to adductor issue, will soon leave top 15 Rankings.
