Argentinean tennis player Juan Martin del Potro is "likely" to play at the Millennium Estoril Open next year, per Jose Morgado.
The 29-year-old made his debut appearance in Estoril this season.
The world No. 17 breezed past Japan's Yuichi Sugita to reach the last-16.
Unfortunately, del Potro was forced to withdraw before his clash against Ryan Harrison due to the death of his grandfather.
It remains to be seen will del Potro, who kicked off his 2017 clay-court campaign in Estoril, do the same next year.
Meanwhile, Estoril Tournament Director Joao Zilhao is eyeing to bring a few Milan Next Gen ATP Finals.participants to his event.
Russia's Andrej Rublev, Karen Khachanov, and Daniil Medvedev, as well as Borna Coric, Denis Shapovalov, Hyeon Chung, and Jared Donaldson.
Zilhao will certainly be closely following the inaugural edition of the NextGen ATP Finals, November 7-11.
Rising Nick Kyrgios was also set to play in Estoril this year but skipped the event due to the death of his grandfather.
