Federer up for BBC Overseas Sports Personality of the Year Award

Roger Federer is one of the six contenders for the BBC Overseas Sports Personality of the Year award for 2017. He has won the award on three previous occasions – in 2004, 2006 and 2007. The winning sportsperson will be revealed on 17 December.

2017 has been a year to remember for tennis fans and nobody's face has been more a part of the year than Roger Federer, in his splendid return to form. His achievements this past year - as he returned from a six-month injury layout by winning two Grand Slams to add to his existing record and taking it to 19 in total - has been something special to watch.
