It wasn't easy for Novak Djokovic, Feliciano Lopez made him work for it, but Nole pulled through in the end. The first set was quality stuff. The momentum was back and forth, break points being saved, and creative points being played.

The Serbian crowd of course mildly golf clapping when Lopez won a point, and having an orgasm when Djokovic won a point. Late in the tiebreak came the crucial points. Djokovic was too solid for Lopez as the Spaniard made errors off the forehand and Djokovic won the set.

After that, Lopez seemed to mentally collapse and allowed Djokovic to up his game and take charge. Nole cruised to a 6-2 second set victory. A notable point came early in the second when stretched wide on the backhand, Djokovic slid too far, did a split, and fell down on his elbow.

The trainer came out and inspected him but he played on. Lopez seemed bothered by the stoppage of play and was sloppy when they resumed. Djokovic now has won 5 titles on the year and will go into Madrid next week riding high and trying to take the title.
