In the opening semifinal of the day, Rafael Nadal took on the upset king Richard Gasquet. Gasquet had beaten Roger Federer and Tomas Berdych in the previous two rounds, but was unable to make it 3 in a row.

Gasquet played a quality first set, but faltered late in the first set and Nadal took it 7-5. Gasquet tired in the 2nd set and Nadal breezed to a 6-1 win in the second. In the night match semifinal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray played an epic.

Djokovic was expected to win routinely, but Murray took us all for a ride. Djokovic took the first set easily 6-1 and we were all preparing for an easy win for Djokovic. But, in the second set, Djokovic's fatigue began to catch up to him and Murray stepped up to take the set 6-3.

The third was a dogfight, and Murray served for the match at 5-4 in the third. But, two doublefaults from 30-15 while trying to serve it out doomed Murray. Djokovic really dug deep and found some kind of way to win this match with a real champion's tiebreak in the third.

Djokovic's win streak is now 38 wins! How much he will have left in the tank for the finals tomorrow vs. Nadal, who knows, but Djokovic will give it all he's got surely. Should be a good final. .
