Unlike in the past few weeks, when it was kind of sleepy and reduced, this week's Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Division I Women’s National Team Rankings brought some big changes, as we announced that scenario after the ITA Division I National Women’s Team Indoor Championship.

Florida Gators conquered the first national crown of the season for the first time since 1999, which made their reign at the top even stronger (they beat 4 Top 10 Universities), ahead of beaten finalist North Carolina and Georgia, who climbed from 6th to 3rd after reaching the semis.

Ohio State also gained 3 places to be 4th after their heartbreaking loss to North Carolina in the semi-final. Texas Tech and Michigan are the new teams in the Top 10, ranked 12th and 13th.

SEC is still the dominant Conference, with 9 ranked teams including 2 in the Top 10, followed by Pac-12 that is also represented with two squads among the leading 10 teams, and with 5 ranked schools overall. Next week we are going back to the computerized national team rankings, with 50 ranked teams, instead of 25.
