2017 ITA National Summer Championships, at Fort Worth, Texas, has reached the quarter-final stage in singles draws, and a few top-seeded players are still there in the chase for the titles. 3 Top 10 seeds are still alive in men's section, and it will be interesting to see who will be the winner.
Tyler Schick had an easy day in the office, leading 6-1 1-0 when Dylan Bednarczyk had to retire. Alexandru Grigorescu was the lowest-ranked player in the last 8 and he didn't stop there, beating Eric Rutledge 7-5 6-4 to set up the meeting with Schick.
The third seed Kyle Mautner also didn't have to spend too much time on the court, taking 10 out of 11 games versus Marius Frosa when his rival retired, trailing 6-0 4-1. Alexander Lebedev took down the second seed Connor Curry by 6-3 6-1 to book the clash with Mautner.
The top seed Kaitlyn Mccarthy is still looking strong to go all the way, toppling Anna Rogers 6-4 6-2 to reach the last 4. Lauren Proctor beat Felicity Maltby by the same result, in the encounter between 4th and 5th seeds, and it should be a great semi-final match with Mccarthy. Sarah Dvorak surprised the 3rd seed Jessie Aney by 6-2 6-4, setting up the meeting with home star Donika Bashota, who edged Meghan Kelley by 7-6 6-4.
