Tennis - Argentina have taken a 2-1 lead over France in their Davis Cup World Group quarter-final tie. Argentine pair David Nalbandian and Horacio Zeballos defeated the French duo Julien Benneteau and Michael Llodra 36 76(3) 75 63 after the teams split the singles on the opening day.

France have beaten Argentina the last five times they have met. Argentine captain Martin Jaite commented, "When there is unity in the team, everything works better. (But) we haven’t won anything yet. It’s not easy to digest…They were simply stronger tan us. We know that in doubles things can change very quickly…, They really galvanised themselves (but) they never dominated during the match.”

In Sunday's reverse singles, French no.
