WTA TOKYO - DRAW: Muguruza leads the field, Wozniacki is defending champion

Asian swing officially starts for top players. In the WTA Tokyo event the new World No. 1 Garbine Muguruza leads the field, she will play her first match against a qualifier or Monica Puig, who has been going through a very poor season.

In the quarters Muguruza would face the 2011 and 2015 winner Agnieszka Radwanska, in the semifinals Dominika Cibulkova or Caroline Wozniacki. The Danish player will try to win her first title of the year after losing six finals and the third title here after triumphing in 2010 and 2016.

In the bottom half Karolina Pliskova may have a tricky first round as she will face Daria Gavrilova or qualifier. In the quarters she could meet Angelique Kerber, who will face the defending finalist Naomi Osaka, who beat her in straight sets at the US Open.

In the semifinals Pliskova is set to meet Kristina Mladenovic or Johanna Konta. Here below full main draw:
