Tennis - It was not the comeback that the Indo-Pak Express were hoping for. India's Rohan Bopanna and Pakistan's Aisam-Ul-Huq Qureshi, playing their first event since the end of the 2011 season, were knocked out in the quarter finals of the Aircel Chennai Open on Thursday - in just their second match of the tournament.
The top seeds went down to the scratch wild card pairing of Russian Karen Khachanov and Indian Saketh Myneni 7-5, 2-6, 12-10. Myneni and Khachanov will go on to meet fourth seeds Johan Brunstrom and Frederik Nielsen, who beat Purav Raja and Dudi Sela 6-4, 6-4 in another quarter final.
Meanwhile, in Doha, Czech Tomas Berdych is through to the doubles final with Jan Hajek, as they beat Germans Christopher Kas and Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-2, 6-3. They meet top seeds Alexander Peya and Bruno Soares in the final there.
